I love writing as my creative outlet. Through my books, I strive to share my knowledge and experiences and inspire others to take action or to innovate.

My first book, The Inside Gig, is a strategy book which encourages more corporate executives to open up their thinking to a new operating model for work. My second book, Valley Girls, is a tale of my journey from an intrapreneur to an entrepreneur.

In my books, I share my ideas, adventures, and of course challenges that will inspire you to either learn something new or embark on a new career adventure.

Valley Girls

Valley Girls is an impassioned call-to-action and a clear-eyed guide for every woman with a brilliant business idea who has been sitting on the sidelines.

It offers inspiration, role models, and a clear path to empower women to follow their dreams.

As a founder and CEO who went venture-backed in 2020, I knew it was going to be an uphill battle to get funded. That year, less than three percent of venture capital went to all-women founding teams. I wrote this book because I wanted to share my journey, along with those of other female founders, so that other female entrepreneurs could benefit from the lessons we learned along the way. I also wanted to find out answers to these questions: What did we all have in common? Which strategies brought success and which failed? What made us persevere through the hard times? This book is my practical, hands-on guide to finding the answers to these questions, and more.

It is my hope that as you read this book, you become more inspired to innovate or invest in the great ideas of other female founders. Together, I believe we can pave the way for all women to succeed if we look for ways to encourage and support each other’s dreams.
